A Venetian Valentine at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
The Gardner Museum is certainly the place for elegance and romance - how wonderful would it be to spend time there on Valentine's Day? Enjoy a Valentine's Day supper, from passed hors d'oeuvres to chocolate-dipped strawberries, with live jazz performed from the museum's central flowering courtyard, featuring the Patrice Williamson Quartet performing a variety of romantic ballads. Poetry, music, and art - it all equals an evening of magic and romance. An open bar will be available throughout the evening, featuring that most Venetian of cocktails, the Bellini, mixed exclusively for the occasion by Gardner Café chef Peter Crowley.

The Naked at the MFA Scavenger Hunt
This is a fun date idea, no? A public scavenger hunt in the Musuem of Fine Art, on Valentine's Day. Participants will seek out "paintings, sculptures, period rooms, randy Romans, a "stag" party drinking game, Gauguin's island girls, sufferin' Sabines, Father Time's hot time, and a God with Venus envy." A Classical Valentine: Love in Song & Dance
How about a classical music concert featuring voices, piano, clarinet, and strings, devoted purely to the music of love? Soprano Megan Tillmann and her husband, tenor Matthew DiBattista, and mezzo soprano Majie Zeller and her husband, baritone David Kravitz join Steven Lipsitt and the Boston Classical Orchestra to perform a program which includes the Liebeslieder Waltzes by Brahms and four duets by Schumann. Instrumental works include two waltzes by Johann Strauss, Jr. and romantic chamber music by Mozart and Mendelssohn.
